Our next recruitment will be in fall 2024.

The Candidacy Experience:

Candidacy is a six week process where we, as sisters, have the opportunity to meet and teach candidates about our history, ideals, and goals.

The candidacy process begins with candidate initiation where you are initiated into candidacy. This follows with six weeks of weekly candidate meetings and quizzes. You have to pass the quizzes to continue on, but candidates are known to support each other and form study groups. The information needed to pass the quizzes is minimal and shouldn't have a negative effect on your academics. Candidates are on a point system during candidacy in order to give them an idea of what it will be like to be on the point system that the sisters are on. The six weeks includes attending events our sorority holds in order to earn these points and to continue to get to know the sisters in the sorority. Candidates are also required to meet with sisters every week in order to get to know everyone in the sorority. After the six weeks, if all the quizzes were passed and enough points were made, the candidates are initiated to be official sisters of the sorority!

Overall the candidacy experience will teach you not only about our ideals and objectives, but it will also help you form unbreakable bonds with sisters and other candidates and give you an idea of what being a sister in Alpha Omega Epsilon is all about!
